At one point I was going to make a book about dance in New Orleans. It probably won’t happen now, or at least not like I thought it would at least. A friend was involved in the local dance scene and she invited me out to watch some practices for the book. I sort of sat on a lot of those pictures. I had picked out a few, but I’d never really gone through them. Since there’s no dance book coming any time soon, I figure I might as well let some of these see the light of day. I believe they still dance in City Park in the old Peristyle on the weekends.
